This vintage Janssen upright piano (Serial Number 8966) was built in New York City around 1906, shortly after the company's beginning in 1901. This places the piano among the Company's earliest instruments, making it extremely rare and difficult to find. Early Janssen pianos were known for their solid construction and dependability, as they were intended to compete with the best upright pianos of the era. This piano plays beautifully, with a powerful sound and a very smooth, and responsive action.
